Best Business

Have you ever sat down and thought what might the best business be? Well, one day I heard this guy talking about how if you sell drugs, you would make a lot of money. So, I gave it a little thought and I realized that it might be true but only if you sell in big quantities. It could be a big temptation for young kids to make fast money like that, but they should also think about the consequences. They could end up in jail for a long time if you get cought. Plus the thing you did will be in your record until you die. I know it sounds harsh, but I thought about the Mafia. They always have a Padrone or whatever they might call him. The Mafia are the ones that really make the money. Many of them would not last long, but in that business you really make money and fast. The Mafia are the ones that control most of the drugs distributed or could also be a Cartel. They all come and go because of the much violence that they cause. Everybody wants to be the boss and everybody wants to control everything, but that is the business that I always see progressing no matter who the boss might be. Drugs are like a non ending product that for some reason specially young kids want to buy.

500 Cameras at NY

I just heard on the news the other day that in Ney York the government had implemented 500 cameras around the city. I don't think I could live knowing that somebody could be watching me every second of my life. Now, stores, banks, most buildings have cameras. Now the only thing that needs to happen is for you to find out that you have a camera in your house where they are watching every single move you make. Many people would want to argue that it is for our own safety, but is that really for our own safety. I would say that in danger times it is, but I don't think that the government has any right of invading your privacy for the reason they use, security. Yes, I find it secure to have as many cameras as possible in airports or any type of transportation, but it makes you unconfortable when you know that they are wathching every single move you make. All this wars and terrorist attacks are drivings us to become crazy in a sense because we think that they are just out there to hurt us and they might be, but just imagine what is the goverment going to do in the near future.

Latinos Fired because of Participation

As the heat over what to do with inmigrants gets worst, many inmigrant people have marched all over the main cities of the United States. Those protests or marches are being made because they want a inmigration reform that ligalizes about 12 million. In Los Angeles, about more than a half a million protested as well as in New York and more than three hundred thounsand in Chicago. There were other small protests in the United States, but the thing that struck me the most was that many of the people that participated on such marches got fired. I thought that you could miss a day of work and still have your job, but I guess you have to take into considertion what type of business you are talking about as well as their policies. I mean I don't think that it wouldn't have affected them a lot for them to fire those poor people. I know that you have an obligation to attend work or other wise you will suffer the consequences, but I think that the owner at least should of given a warning instead of firing them. I think it is for a good cause anyways, and bosses should have at least a some heart, or is it that they might not like inmigrants in this country. Well, that would be hard to know if we can't ask those people why did they fired them, but will see where does this debate over inmigration goes in the near future.

Life

Since I was a little kid, I wanted to be a doctor just like any other kid. Many want to be firefighters, doctors, police officers, etc. As you keep on growing up, you don't realize how hard everything is. From school to life out-side school, everything is so complicated. You don't know what you are going to be until you try something and you start to enjoy it. I never thought I was going to be in school and now I ask myself what is it that I want to be doing for the rest of my life, and still I can't find that answere. But one thing I do know, and that is that I have to get started in something and from there I can conclude what is the one thing I really like. I see many professors just teaching and doing other projects on the side. I thought that I might get started on doing a project with a professor, but that won't be until next school years since I have an idea as to what I want to do. There are many choices, and I think that is what it makes it so complicated for a student to decide in one particular thing since for me I want to do and be many things. I like to draw and I thougth that I could creat designs for cars since many times I come up with good drawings, but now I decided to go on with chemistry nothing at all related with art. There should be classes offered and let a student decide what is it what he/she likes, so that from there he can have an idea as to where he can head into.

Pope

The Pope: the biggest authority in the Roman Catholic Religion, a man that can speak to god itself, respected by its people, and admired by many. Even though I am Catholic, I don't understand why do we need to have a pope or a person that many say he can talk to god. I don't get what is the point of having such authority over the Catholic Religion. Is it that we need to have someone we all can look at, so that we feel more close to god. But I say that we don't need such thing. We live in a world that the only thing that matters the most is to live good with ourselves and make the best of us. If there is god, then let be and maybe one day we all will meet him. I just think that we really don't need to have a Pope because even if he tries to have all the priests to do good and give the word of god, many priests in my thinking don't do it. There are many good priests. I am not going to deny that, but many I think they just see priesthood as a job rather than a real dedication. I think that is just wrong. They suppose to be proud or feel contempted by what they do rather than just a simple job that will keep him from working in a factory or something else.

WithOut Computers

Do you imagine a day that we would not have a computer? There will be a big chaos, especially during this age. Now every student uses the internet to find information on almost everything, from cars, people, history to news and entertainment. I can't imagine myself not having a computer because it is so useful. I do and research any type of homework with a computer. I am one of those persons that don't like or enjoy reading so it would be very hard to do such thing. Using any type of search engine on your computer, you could lower the amount of topics that could pop up to what you are exactly looking for. The market runs most of its information with computers. Banks have their customers information on the computer, so the chaos that a computer would cause if it crashes or disappears would be inmense. You would have to find some other way of keeping all such information and probably keeping paper records like it was done when nobody had a computer. It would take a lot of time to do reasearch on just a simple topic and would have to go from book to book until you can find what exactly you are looking for.

March against HR4437 News Coverage

There has been a lot of controversi over what should be done with latinos in the United States. Many think that it would be ok to allow them to stay in the US specially latinos and other inmigrants, but others think that they should be sent back to where they came from and that a fence should be built on the US-Mexico border to keep them out. Whatever many people would prefer, I really don't care. What I care about is what is going to happen to those families that already have a life in this country. Those who own a house, a car, a job, a family, etc. It would be really depresing to know that you are going to loose everything in just one blink. They should be given some kind of time to get all of their stuff ready if they are going to be deported back to where they came from and not just imprisoned and have them deported. One of the things I just heard is that HR4437 is going to make who ever helps illegals criminals, and they are going to be imprisoned. Lets say that you are driving and your friend happens to be illegal, then you are going to be a criminal just for hanging out with your friend. Isn't this too extreme, specially for a country that was built on illegal or inmigrant people? This is just something to think about the history of this precious land.
